A suggested target heart zone during aerobic exercise is between 50 percent and 85 percent and the exercise should be lasting for at least 20 to 30 minutes in order to get the best results.
For moderate-intensity physical activity, one's target heart rate should be about 50-70% of his or her maximum heart rate. For vigorous-intensity physical activity, the target heart rate should be about 70 to 85% of his or her maximum heart rate. This maximum rate is connected with his or her age.
